About Our Office
Our current office location at 1550 Kingsway Court, in Trenton, Michigan opened in the summer of 2004. The office was custom-designed by Drs. Sonne and Shapiro with patient convenience in mind. Upon entering the office, you will immediately notice the warm tones and relaxing atmosphere. Kids can enjoy playing with toys or watching a movie in the kid's area. We also provide an internet station for surfing the web, checking email or even working on your homework!
At present, our office is one of the most technologically advanced offices in the Metro Detroit area, incorporating many state-of-the-art features. At Sonne and Shapiro Dental PC, we feel that the patient should be as informed as possible regarding their dental health and available treatment options. For this reason, each operatory is equipped with a flat-panel monitor and computer, in addition to a TV monitor and DVD player positioned for comfortable patient viewing. Through this system, patients can view educational information on the GURU or CASEY DVD system, as well as easily view diagnostic images of their own teeth. Each chair is also equipped with an audio jack, permitting patient to view a DVD or listen to their favorite CD during treatment.
One of the most exciting features of the new office is the use of a computerized dental information management system. This allows us to store all patient information, including X-rays, treatment services, patient images and appointment information. Additionally, all X-rays are now digital and are taken without film. This prevents image degradation and allows us to easily send images to specialists. The digital X-rays can also be easily adjusted or enhanced to allow for unparalleled accuracy in diagnosis. Most importantly, digital X-rays require only a fraction of the radiation required for traditional film.
We also feel that cleanliness and patient safety is paramount. For this reason, we designed a state-of-the-art sterilization center, and utilize the Oso-pure water purification system to ensure patient safety.
